"Built in 1915 to work the rich North Sea fishig zones of herring, Tecla fished as one of the last true commercial sailing vessels before going into retirement & then into Danish ownership as a transport and cargo ship.

"The Tecla is now owned by a family of professional sailors,who returned her to sail under the Dutch colors.

"A two mast ketch,her appearance is kept as traditional as possible. "On board the crew works with a sail training program to get the best from her"

"A square rigger, is one of only two ships in the world designed & built to enable people of all physical abilities to sail side-by-side as equals"

"The Lord Nelson was commissioned and is operated by the Jubilee Sailing Trust. Some of the features of the ship are wheelchair lifts between decks,a speaking compass,Braille signage and a bowsprit wide enough to accommodate a wheelchair.

 Oosterschelde (1918)

The 3 masted top sail schooner Oosterschelde is the last of the large fleet of schooners that sailed under the Dutch flag at te beginning of the twentieth century.

"The Oosterschelde was built in the Netherlands in 1918 at the order of the Rotterdam shipping company H.A.A.S. As a freighter she could carry some hundred tons of cargo from wood and clay to food stocks like bananas and salted herring.

In 1999 the ship was bought to be restored and now represents the city of Rotterdam around the world. The Largest restored Dutch sailing ship,she is a monument for the Dutch shipbuilding & maritime navigation under sail"

 Europa (1911)

The Europa dates back to 1911,when she was built under the name of Senator Brockes at Stulcken shipyards in Hamburg, at the request of the city of Hamburg.

In 1986 she was brought to the Netherlands and over a period of 8 years was completely rebuilt and remasted to the 3 masted barque she is today. The Europa sails with a professional crew of 14,and a voyage crew capacity of 48.

"She is renowned for expeditions for sailing and nature lovers,and in 2013/2014 she will for the 12th time in Antarctic waters,visiting ashore with professional guides.
