Music,Melbourne & Me.

Held at RMIT Storey Hall, in Swanston St Melbourne, there has been a exhibition of "40 years of Mushroom(record company) & a history of live music in Melbourne.

Inside there were costumes & memorabilia, from a time long ago.
Here we see a variety of bright clothes, worn by "Shirley", from 70's glam band Skyhooks.
The green/red one seen here on him, in their 1976  Palais theater show.

Shirley, was not the only member that loved to dress up.
Here is one worn by Red Symons.. the same guy seen on the TV show "Hey hey It's Saturday"

Greg, the bassist & song writer loved some velvet

Greg seen on the right, with Shirley in his velvet suit.

It's been a while, so I'll reintroduce myself .."I'm Monte & I'm a slack blogger.."

I can't even blame forgetting my password, I just have been lazy.
But with Christmas & everything.

A highlight in December was Tokyo Girls Style held their 2nd "Live at Budokan" live event.
Making history in 2012, being the youngest ever to hold "a one man show" (even though they're girls)

Of course I am very far from Tokyo, so I did not attend, or even watch on their Ustream channel
But I am sure there will be a Blu-ray /DVD released soon.

Recently I found a site selling official TGS merchandise, to people outside of Japan. The stock was from this 2013 show...  you cannot imagine my anticipation, before it arrived.

Yeah I know, they write the dates backwards !!!

1100mm.. the size of the cheering towel.

Not sure if it shows up to well, but the text is in silver & really "pops" on the black tee.

Girls name on the rear.
