Purple Rain.

Another highlight, was RMIT's "Purple Rain"

In the courtyard, people are given umbrellas ...

..& you walk around in this mysterious Purple Rain...

..all to the tune of Prince singing his song..

 Pic of the night IMHO.

Viruses

 THGIN ETIHW ?

Hey Mario, what's that sign mean?

The State Library, transforms into a giant microscope.
As Molecular Kaleidoscope hosts a dome full of viruses !!

Pretty cool really.

Highlight of the night

Here I find  Monuments an amazing piece, where faces are projected from one side of the Yarra, onto TREES on the other!!

Each face opened their eyes, yawned, blinked, all to this haunting background humming.

 Reflections

 The beam again.

The left face, was quite cheeky, with this smirk.

Crepuscular Beam

I found this really bright light.. it's called the Crepuscular Beam & don't know what that means, but it sure is pretty.

A selfie with the White Night sign, c'mon people.. move a bit to the left..err.. right..

 One without your host.

You can't see, but inside this round construction, people were laying on the grass, just looking up.

 Always someone walking through >_<

Skyline with the Art Centre spire, dwarfed by the beam.

Flinders Street Wonderland.

White Night Melbourne 2014

Here we go kiddy winky... are you ready... are you READY !!

On the weekend of Saturday February 22nd to Sunday the 23rd, Melbourne hosted our annual 12 hour art festival, called White Night  which is based on the French Nuit Blanche   simply meaning "All Nighter"

From 7pm Saturday, til 7am Sunday the normally bustling streets of Melbourne Aust, don't allow cars and in turn, people power take over.
With regular buildings that you would not notice & walk past, are  transformed into animated pieces of art.

Other streets have shadows magically showing appearing on blank walls, while other places are interesting for their quirkiness.

I begin my night @ "Wonderland", a clity block in Flinders street, that have building projections.
Here we see the Forum theater, in the theme of this years White Night, "Circus"
 Strong man.

It's changed into a Circus Wagon.

Now it's Melbourne other icon "Luna Park"
